The Function Of Ceramic Pigment

Pigments: Pigments, also known as pigments or color pigments, are powdered colored ceramic decorative materials made of color-based and fluxes or additives.

For example, under-glaze pigments need to be calcined at high temperatures (above 1300 degrees Celsius), requiring high stability, but few varieties, the earliest use of blue and white, red, yellow, blue, green, black, grey, brown and so on. The pigment on the glaze only has to withstand the temperature of 600~800 C, so it is rich in variety and rich in color. In addition, liquid pigments, such as gold and water, are used as enamel decorations. They are made from metal and organic compounds, and then organic solvents. After the 1970s, high-temperature fast-firing pigments (glaze color) were developed. The color firing temperature was 1100 ~ 1260 C, the color firing time was 35 ~ 120 minutes, and the colors were rich.

The role of Ceramic Pigment

The color of the green body is mixed with the billet to make the burnt body show a certain color.

Colouring of glazes: various coloured glazes and artistic glazes can be made of coloring agents and basic glazes.

Drawing patterns: a large number of hand-painted glaze surface and underglaze, but also can be used as Decal paper, screen printing.
